Transactions on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) yesterday closed north ward, increasing by N68 billion.
Specifically, market capitalisation of listed equities increased by 0.62 per cent to 29517.73 points from 29336.80 points recorded the previous day.
The NSE All Share Index rose by 180.93 basis points to N11.007 trillion from N10.939 trillion reported on Wednesday.
Investors traded 385.291 million shares worth N3.067 billion in 3677 deals against 234.871 million shares valued at N2.245 billion in 3806 deals.
An analysis of the investment showed that Julius Berger led gainers table, growing by N2.55 kobo to close at N28.40 kobo, Guaranty Trust Bank followed with a gain of N1.90 kobo to close at N33.20 kobo, Dangote Cement gained N1.50 kobo to close at N171.50 kobo, Forte Oil Plc appreciated N1.45 kobo to close at N28.00, Cement Company of Northern Nigeria gained N0.90 kobo to close at N19.45 kobo.
Conversely, Nestle Nigeria Plc recorded the highest loss during the day, dropping by N48.90 kobo to close at N1401.00, Guinness Nigeria Plc trailed with a loss of N7.00 to close at N63.00, Okomu Oil fell by N1.75 kobo to close N82.00, Access Bank dropped by N0.20 kobo to close at N5.30 kobo while NEM Insurance sheds N0.19 kobo to close at N1.72 kobo.
The result also revealed that Custodian and Allied Insurance recorded the highest volume of activities trading 120.270 million shares worth N697.607 million, Access Bank followed with account of 60.479 million shares valued at N317.375 million, FBNHoldings exchanged 48.866 million shares cost N347.243 million, Diamond Bank sold 37.147 million shares valued at N72.049 million while United Bank for Africa traded 26.963 million shares worth N195.471 million.
