A former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Alhaji Musa Gwadabe, has died
Gwadabe died on Wednesday morning at the age of 86 after a protracted illness at a Kano hospital.
The news was confirmed by his daughter, Aisha Musa Gwadabe, who is also a worker at Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM, Kano.
Gwadabe was a pioneer member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and also a former Secretary to the State Government (SSG) in Kano.
During the Olusegun Obasanjo’s first tenure as president from 1999 to 2003, he served as a minister.
Gwadabe was also the Secretary to Kano State Government during the tenure of the late Sabo Bakin Zuwo and was a member of various boards.
Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, described Gwadabe as an upright politician, who stood for his ideals.
Until his death, he was a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Board Chairman, Industrial Training Fund (ITF).
Gwadabe is survived by two wives, 11 children and grandchildren.
