The family of Nollywood actress, Late Rachael Oniga, have picked a date for the funeral rites.
Recall that the actress died on Friday, July 30, 2021 in Lagos, aged 64.
According to the son, Mr Tunji Oniga, the family picked August 26 and 27 for the funeral at her residence in Magodo, Lagos.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
He said the wake keep will be on Thursday, August 26 and the main event on Friday, August 27 at a cemetery yet to be disclosed.
He said, ”My mother’s death is shocking to me, in fact, I don’t believe she is dead. When I see her phone rings and she isn’t there to take the call, the reality will dawn on me.
”She was a philanthropist, who is always bothered about the needs of others.”
Rachel Oniga was born on May 23, 1957 in Ebute Metta, Lagos.
