A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

He was arrested on Tuesday at a Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, and moved to a nearby EFCC office.

The reason for his arrest is yet to be known at press time.

Recall that Fani-Kayode was recently released on bail by the anti-graft commission after he was arrested over forgery allegation.

The former Minister had claimed that he was not arrested in the first instance but was invited for interrogation and was later granted bail on self recognition.

The EFCC is understood to be prosecuting Fani-Kayode and two others on 17 counts of conspiracy, money laundering, and fraud to the tune of N4.9 billion.
