The Supreme Court of Nigeria has suspended regular sitting over the outbreak of the coronavirus.
Nigeria’s apex court made this known in a statement signed by Chief Registrar, Hadizatu Uwani Mustapha, on Monday.
According to Mustapha, this has become imperative in view of “the way people get infected with COVID-19 and the way counsel and parties come to the Supreme Court everyday”.
Mustapha, however, revealed that “judgements and rulings of the courts shall be delivered as already adjourned”.
