She was born on September 11, 1964.

Mo is the CEO of EbonyLife TV, which was founded in 2006.

The media maestro was also described as the most successful woman according to FORBES.

Being a media mogul, and philanthropist, Mo Abudu has also made her impact in the movie industry, breaking records with notable works like ‘Chief Daddy’ and some others.

Here are five notable movies by Mo Abudu:

Fifty
This was Mo Abudu’s first attempt at movie production. Fifty was a movie showcasing four women who recently clocked 50 or are about to, and are living their lives. One experienced marital changes while one went through an affair to figure out her stand, while another was career oriented. The movie was released to the cinemas on December 18, 2015.

The Wedding Party
It’s no news that the movie, ‘The Wedding Party’, broke the record for years as the highest selling Nigerian movie. It was directed by Kemi Adetiba and released on December 16, 2016. The movie quickly returned with a sequel on December 15, 2017.

The Royal Hibiscus Hotel
This was another 2017 movie produced by Mo Abudu. It was released in September 2017. It was a romantic setting with a chef who returned from London, to their family hotel in Nigeria, to change the menu, only to find out the hotel is in the process of sell-off.

Chief Daddy
Chief Daddy was a hilarious movie with stars like Funke Akindele, Kate Henshaw, Nkem Owoh, Rachael Oniga, RMD, Patience Ozokwor and many others. It was written by Bode Asiyanbi, directed by Niyi Akinmolayan and produced by Mo Abudu and Temidayo Abudu. It was released in December 2018.

Your Excellency
This movie was a political satire drama written and directed by Funke Akindele, making it her first attempt at directing a movie. The drama was released on December 13, 2019. The movie tells the story of a budding billionaire and failed presidential candidate who is obsessed with former U.S president, Donald Trump and his leadership.
