Veteran actor, Pete Edochie, has received bountiful knocks on his head over his disappointment over actresses’ failed marriage.
The actor in an interview with Chude Jideonwo said he felt disappointed when he learnt actresses like Ireti Doyle, Tonto Dikeh, Chioma Akpotha have ended their marriages.
He said marriage is for better or worse and shouldn’t be over with.
In his words, he said, “If you come to our industry today, most of our ladies who got married, some two, three years ago, have all left their husbands.
“I was shocked that Chioma Chukwuka had left her husband, Ireti Doyle, Tonto Dikeh.
“You take a vow when you are going to get married for better or worse, not for better or out. You will always think it’s greener on the other side; that is the mistake we all make.”
This didn’t sit well with many considering the actor’s son is currently in an infidelity scandal and marital crisis.
Actor Uche Maduagwu in a post told the actor to focus more on his family and the scandals they are yet to solve.
His post read, “Focus on your PIKIN DISGRACEFUL actions in Marriage, not these great actresses matter. Marriage is supposed to be enjoyed, not endured. I wept bitterly after watching Sir Pete’s interview, so INSENSITIVE.
“Instead of boldly criticizing wetin him Pikin do him wife of more than 16 years of Blissful marriage by giving colleague Movie Location. Belle, instead of criticizing how him Pikin dey do dance and signing videos with Judy on social media even when May dey mourn, you are focusing on Tonto Dikeh, Aunty Ireti, and Chioma that are now fulfilled and spiritually prosperous. Seriously?”
Someone in the comment section said “This man just dey annoy me.” Another person said, “Bold of him to openly criticize another when you couldn’t stand behind May till she files for divorce.”
Another furious fan wrote, “Face your family first.”
