Four kidnapped female students in Zamfara freed

The four female students of College of Health Science and Technology recently kidnapped by suspected bandits in Zamfara State have regained freedom.

This was confirmed to newsmen by the Deputy Provost of the institution, Jamilu Lawali through a press statement on Thursday night.

According to the statement, the four female students were released by their abductors on Thursday at a location close to Tsafe town.

He claimed that no ransom was paid in the process.

“They were released this evening at a location close to Tsafe town of the State, the school did not pay any ransom for their release,” he stated.

He said the four students are currently at a hospital he did not disclose receiving medical treatment.

Recall that about two days ago, some unidentified gunmen suspected to be terrorists abducted five female students of Zamfara State College of Health Science Technology but one escaped and four were whisked away to an unknown destination.

The State Police Command has confirmed the incident, saying that efforts were being made by the security operatives to secure their release frоm the bandits.
