Veteran fuji singer, Adewale Ayuba, has stated that fuji music can never go into extinction because of other fast rising genres of music.
In an interview with Sunday Scoop, he revealed that fuji music is of the cultural background so it can not die.
According to him, the genre lives as long as Nigeria lives.
He said, “As long as Nigeria exists, fuji music shall live. It is a genre of music we can call ours because of its cultural background.”
The fuji maestro talked about his album, ‘Ijo Fuji’, that went viral when it was released years ago. He also talked about how he often get his inspiration.
He said, “I was planning to make an album that would promote fuji music. Nobody knows if any record will be successful but to the glory of God, the song was accepted.
“I once got the inspiration for a song right in front of an officer at the American embassy in Lagos.”
Ayuba spoke about his children, stating his children can become anything they want.
“Yes, of course, but God knows best. I always pray for God’s will to be done to my children,” he said.
“I owe my youthfulness to Almighty God.”
