Gospel singer Sinach makes history, becomes first African to top USA Billboard

Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Osinachi Okoro – Joseph, popularly known as Sinach has disclosed that she has maintained top on USA Billboard chart for seven weeks.

The Ebonyi State born mother of one made this announcement on her Instagram page with a screenshot of the chart page showing her name as number one on the billboard USA for a Christian songwriter.

She wrote: “7 weeks!! Look at God!! First Black person First from Africa … So grateful to God!! Thank you @billboard #loveworld @joe_egbu @integritymusic #speedoftheHiolyGhost #sponsoredbygrace #sinach #waymaker”

Osinachi Kalu popularly known by her stage name as Sinach, is a famous and multi award-winning Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, recording artiste, stage performer and a philanthropist. She was born on 30th March 1977 in Lagos State, in the western part of Nigeria.

In her teenage years, Sinach became a born-again Christian. She began singing at a very tender age and joined the choir of her local church, Christ Embassy in Lagos, Nigeria. The general Overseer of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome discovered her singing talent and made her senior worship leader at Believers Love World.

Sinach has eight albums and many hit singles to her name. Her albums include Chapter One, I’m Blessed, Shout it Loud, From Glory to Glory, Sinach at Christmas, Sinach Live in Concert, The Name of Jesus and Waymaker Live.
