American rapper, Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, also known as Cardi B, has deactivated her Twitter account after a series of clashes with her fans over Grammy.

The rapper, who was nominated for Best Rap Performance, did not show up at the award night and that has infuriated some of her fans who felt she should have.

There were back and forth tweets with her fans where she lashed out at them for requesting her presence at the Grammys.

A fan had said, “I bet your son wouldn’t like for you to be on your a** while teasing us fans and not dropping new music.” Cardi slammed the user saying she hopes his/her mother dies.

Some fans went further to ask her of her album, stating that she has been talking about it since 2019. She replied some of the fans, raining curses on them.

It went on for some time before the mother of two decided to announce that she would be leaving Twitter.

She wrote, “I’m deleting my Twitter On God I hate this f**kin dumbass fan base,” she tweeted before deactivating her account.

“You got the slow dumbasses dragging my kids all cause y’all [thought] I was going to the Grammys and I didn’t the f**k?”

Shortly after, she went on Instagram Live to call her fans out saying they have no right to ask for her presence at the Grammys, especially since she was nominated for one category and she lost.

According to the rapper, it would be shameful and not appealing for her to go to the event and to return empty handed.

She explained how some of her fans had called her kids out. She said she felt irritated.

“Do I have any new music. Why would I show up with one nomination?

“And I lost it anyways, so you wanted me to go to the Grammys, lose an award and me just be there smiling like, ‘That’s great, that’s great.’ Like, come on now my n—a. Come on now. I don’t like that sh*t.”
