Actor Adekola Tijani has revealed how the late actor, Murphy Afolabi, had predicted his death before his passing. The actor died on Sunday, May 14, and was buried on May 16, in his home in Ikorodu.

The actor who was a close friend to the deceased said he had spoken to the actor 30 minutes before he died.

Tijani, who was emotionally distraught, in an interview with Goldmynetv, said the actor did not make it to the hospital. He also disclosed how Murphy had done some strange things before he died.

He said he had told him to come for clothes he used for his birthday and also paid for some usual contributions. He said when he asked why the actor had decided to pay earlier than normal, he had said that no one knows tomorrow or what will happen the next minute.

According to him, the actor’s death has been heartbreaking for him because they do things together. He said he had introduced the land in which he’s been buried today.

Tijani went further to talk about how he had shot Murphy’s first film and how the actor had been the one to introduce him into full time acting when he was just the one behind the cameras.

He said, “We still spoke yesterday, we spoke around 9:30 and he fell around 10 am. I was called immediately and we drove him to the hospital but he died before we got to the hospital.

“He called me after his birthday that I should come and take some of the clothes he used for his birthday shoot. I told him not to worry but I didn’t know he was passing a message across to me.

“Yesterday he sent money for a contribution we always do on Sundays, he sent it early and I questioned his choice to send it early.

“His response was we don’t know what will happen the next day or in the next minute. I didn’t know he was bidding me farewell.”
