Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie, has replied to actress Yvonne Nelson’s abortion allegations.

Recall that a few days ago, Yvonne had released a book titled ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ where she revealed her ordeal with Iyanya and Sarkodie.

She revealed how she had to abort Sarkodie’s baby because the rapper wasn’t ready for a child.

In response to that, the rapper in a new song titled ‘Try Me’ said he had not pressured the actress to abort the child. He also talked about how the book is only selling because of negativity and lies.

Some of the lyrics read, “Yes, I wasn’t ready but then I told you to keep it. So don’t make it seem like I was pushing you for abortion.

“Not because your book is really good but we are living in a world where negativity sells.

“Nobody is the cause of your bad choice in life … stop the personal attacks.”

On Wednesday, the actress on Twitter stated that Sarkodie is using his rap to rubbish her pain.

She tweeted, “In my book, I narrated how you got me pregnant, How you couldn’t wait for me to get rid of it. How you DROVE me to have an abortion.

“As usual, you want to use rap to rubbish a pain a young woman felt. We both have daughters, let’s see what life throws at them. #triedyou.”
