Afrobeat singer, Rema, has opened up on his decision to go into music and whether it’s related to the financial gains.

In a recent interview with Korth EO, Rema said he had gone into making music for the money’s sake.

He said he had enough to go for if he hadn’t gone into making music full time.

Rema said, “If music didn’t work, I will still be pushing that p in the corner while hustling, you understand.

“Even at that point where I was doing freestyles, I didn’t really need to do a freestyle because I needed money. I had money. I was actually good.”

Rema has been breaking records since his major debut with ‘Dumebi’. He recently won the African award at VMAs 2023. He has also been charting the Billboard Hot 100 with his ‘Calm Down’ remix with Selena Gomez.
