According to statistics, the current unemployment rate in Niger sits at 33 percent while inflation rates sits at about 20 percent.

He therefore said “We just keep inflation at single digit and unemployment at single digit. If we do that, the next generation will build industries.

“To ensure that full employment is the objective of the monetary and fiscal policy, we must ensure assure that you can get full employment which means we must take it to single digit – 5 percent or below. That’s categorized as full employment.

“How do I do that, I will make sure we incest in agriculture before we go to steel because steel has a lot of foreign components. That’s why we couldn’t finish Ajaokuta.

“Also, chapter 2 of our constitution allows us to invest in social services. We have enough money to invest in social services if the government people can live modestly. If people who are Ministers can live like school teachers. We will also invest money in education, health and housing. ”

The renowned lawyer added that “The government is a player like any other person in the economy, the government buts and sell. So, we will ensure that government can only spend money they can earn. The same way I can’t walk to the CBN and collect money, the president should not be able to do walk there and collect money. ”
