Former Presidential Candidate, Adamu Garba, revealed his exhilaration of victory over the suspension of Twitter in Nigeria.

Garba took to Twitter on Friday evening, June 4, immediately after the news of the suspension to introduce a new app. In a series of tweets, he said, “Goodbye to Twitter in Nigeria.”

In another tweet made by him, he urged his followers to join him in an interview, where he spoke about how happy he is about the ban.

When asked, he said, “I’m very happy, seriously. And it’s clearing showing that actions can not just happen without consequences.

“If you study Twitter for the last months, they have been more of anti-Nigerian force to destruction of Nigeria than actually a platform that is supposed to give freedom of expression of Nigerians.

“Because if you look at what happened with the removal of tweets, I can’t see any strong word, a vile word like that of the criminal, Nnamdi Kalu that has been left to still be available on Twitter.

“Meanwhile, a president of a country who is democratically and legitimately elected to be the leader of a nation, making a statement, giving in – in a language in which they understand at that moment becomes a very serious issue to Twitter,” he said.
