The ban on interstate travel appears to have been breached as the remains of the late Senator Bayo Osinowo arrived Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State on Monday night.

The interstate borders have been closed since March to curtail the spread of COVID-19.

However, reports suggests that  the travel ban was neglected by the family of the late lawmaker.

Osinowo, popular known as Pepper, represented Lagos East Senatorial District under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) until his death on Monday in Lagos.

He was a member of the Lagos House of Assembly for four consecutive terms from 2003 to 2019.

Osinowo passed away at the First Cardiologist Hospital, Lagos, the same hospital where late Chief of Staff of the President, Abba Kyari, died.

The late federal legislator is survived by wife and children.
