Veteran actor, Pete Edochie, has finally reacted to the second marriage of his last son, Yul Edochie.
Recall that in April 2022, Yul had broken the internet when he announced his second marriage to his colleague, Judy Austin. He also revealed that they have a son together.
The family, especially the father, had kept mum over the situation and had only dropped subtle comments and posts about it.
However in a new interview, Pete noted that the actor made his choice and he had no say in it.
Pete claimed he wasn’t okay with it in the beginning but he had to accept it because of Biblical characters who had made it even with so many wives.
The actor compared Yul to King Solomon in the Bible.
He said, “I didn’t feel good, but like I said I’m a Christian and I read the Bible. Solomon, with 700 wives and 300 concubines, was branded a man of wisdom.
“It’s his choice and for whatever reason he decided to take a second wife, that’s all I can say.”
May Edochie seemed to have moved on with her life even as she refuses to divorce her husband over the incident.
