Some Nollywood stars have carried out a peaceful protest at the Radisson Blu Hotel situated at Isaac John Street, Ikeja, GRA, over a property mismanagement.

The likes of Fred Amata, Yemi Solade, Grace Amah, Jide Kosoko and Ejike Asiegbu were present.

Some were seen carrying placards, which read: “X to free use of movies.”

They were seen protesting over an alleged refusal to pay for use of their intellectual properties by the hotel.

The protest was led by the Audio-visual Rights Society (AVRS).

AVRS boss, Alli-Balogun, said the hospitality outfit has refused to pay for the use of their intellectual properties.

According to him, negotiations with the management of the hotel haven’t been upheld but rather ignored.

Alli-Balogun also alleged that the hotel owes the copyright collective society about N50 million.
