John Boyega wins first Golden Globe Award

Nigerian-British actor, John Boyega, has won his first-ever golden globe award for best supporting actor in a TV series at the 78th edition of the ceremony.

John took to his Instagram to celebrate his win on Sunday, February 28, 2021.

The actor was nominated for starring as Leroy Logan in Amazon’s anthology series, ‘Small Axe’.

In the caption on IG, the actor wrote, “All I can say is THANK YOU SO MUCH.”

Actors and celebrities across the world have taken to his comment section to congratulate the actor.

Reality TV star, Khafi, wrote, “I can’t wipe the smile off my face!!!!! Congratulations again man.”

American actor Jamie Foxx who also won an award for ‘soul’ wrote, “Yesssssss!!!!! Big ups!!! Well deserved and this is just the beginning. I have the pleasure of working with you at this moment and I can tell you right now that you are a force to be reckoned with. Congratulations on tonight and keep inspiring and entertaining the universe.”

Nollywood Queen of stars, Genevieve Nnaji, also congratulated the star as she simply wrote, “Congratulations love.”

Patience Ozokwor fondly referred to as Mama G, also wrote, “Congratulations.”

The Golden Globe Award has now been added to the actor’s list of accolades.
