Former President Goodluck Jonathan has made a stop at the State House, Abuja where he is meeting with his successor President Muhammadu Buhari.

Mr Jonathan is expected to brief President Buhari on his recent international assignment in Mali.

The ex-president headed the mediation team of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Mali’s lingering political crisis.

Presidential Media aide, Bashir Ahmad, made this known in a tweet on Tuesday morning.

“Former President Goodluck Jonathan is at the State House to update President Muhammadu Buhari on his recent international assignment in Mali. President Jonathan headed the mediation team of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Mali’s lingering political crisis,” he wrote.

Jonathan may also use the opportunity to condole the president on the death of his friend Ismaila Isa Funtua.
