Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq has lost his father Abdulganiyu Abdulrasaq aged 92.
He died on Saturday morning in Lagos State.
Arrangements are being made to fly his corpse to Ilorin for burial later today.
The deceased was former Nigeria’s Ambassador to Cote d’Ivoire and reputed as the first Kwara Commissioner of Finance upon the creation of the state in 1967.
He also worked at the Nigerian Stock Exchange for a number of decades.
