Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Sunday said six foreign nationals were discharged from COVID-19 isolation centres in the state.

He noted that they were among 37 patients who tested negative for COVID-19 after receiving treatment at the state treatment centres.

Sanwo-Olu emphasised the importance of maintaining physical distancing, use of face masks and practice of good hygiene as precautions against the virus.

He said, “Good people of Lagos, today (Sunday), 37 COVID-19 Lagos patients – 15 females and 22 males, including six foreign nationals – were discharged from our isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

“The patients – eight from Agidingbi; seven from Onikan; seven from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba; one from Gbagada, two from First Cardiology and 12 from LUTH isolation centres – were discharged after full recovery.

“Remember, stopping the community spread of COVID-19 begins with you! Maintain physical distancing, practise hand hygiene, mask up, take responsibility for a COVID-19 free Lagos. Let’s stay safe!”
