Liverpool will finally lift the much-awaited Premier League trophy in a presentation on the famous Anfield Kop after their final home encounter against Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.

This historic occasion will be marked with a unique ceremony designed to acknowledge the club’s supporters, who are absent from the stadium due to matches being played behind closed doors.

The club’s players and staff will be presented with their winner’s medals and the Premier League Trophy, as winners of the 2019/20 season, on a specially built podium on the Kop, surrounded by fan banners in the heart of where Liverpool fans usually sit.

The Reds legend, Sir Kenny Dalglish, will hand out medals before club captain Jordan Henderson lifts the trophy.

Henderson who lifted the Champions League trophy last season will be the first Liverpool captain to lift the trophy awarded to the English Champions since Alan Hansen in 1990, despite his season being prematurely over because of a knee injury.

The club has urged fans to stay at home to enjoy the ceremony in light of the ongoing measures in place to safeguard against the spread of Covid-19.
