A clash between Shi’ite members and operatives attached to the convoy of the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, at Bakin Ruwa Area of Igabi Local Government Area of the state led to the death of about four persons.
Several others were reportedly injured in the incident that occured while the Shi’ite members were performing their weekly procession at Bakin Ruwa along Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway.
A Shi’ite representative in Kaduna state, Abdullahi Usman, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, however, noted that none of those killed was their member.
The spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Mohammed Jalige, also confirmed the incident, saying investigation was ongoing and that a statement would be issued later.
