Former glamour model and media personality, Katie Price, has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

She is currently hospitalized and being treated following a car crash around her home in West Sussex.

The accident occurred on Tuesday morning according to reports.

The report stated that Katie Price was above the legal limit for alcohol and drugs, thereby endangering the lives of other drivers.

The report further revealed that the model has also been arrested and will be charged accordingly to the law.

Her car was rolled in a bad way when the police arrived.

Katie who was going through a child custody battle has revealed earlier this week of how bad she is unable to visit her son, Harvey the way she wishes to.

The 43-year-old recently confirmed she is banned from driving.

Her family has released a statement begging the public to allow her to deal with this alone. They also spoke at length about the struggle she has been having lately and how they hope this accident can make her ask for help.

The statement was posted on the model’s IG account.

It read: “As a family we have for some time been concerned about Kate’s wellbeing and overall mental health.

“Today our worst fears nearly came true. As a family we have been and will continue to help Kate get the help she needs.

“We hope that she will realise that she cannot battle her issues alone.”

“…We are concerned and worried about her deeply, we know she lives her life publicly and to many she is fair game, but as a family we hope she can find her path privately moving forward during this very difficult period in her life.

“We are not asking for sympathy – just that it is recognised that Kate is unwell.

“We take great comfort in reading the messages of support and love for Kate that we will pass on to her, in the hope that these positive messages will help spur her on.”

According to the Police statement, the road which was heavily blocked because of the accident was later reopened at 9.26am the same day.

It read: “Police responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision on the B2135 near Partridge Green around 6.20am on Tuesday (September 28).

“A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while above the legal limit for alcohol and drugs, and has been taken to hospital to be checked over.

“The road was blocked temporarily while recovery of the vehicle was arranged.”

Katie was convicted of being nearly twice the limit while in charge of her bright pink Range Rover. She later sold the car at an auction.

The 43-year-old recently revealed that she has been banned from driving till at least the end of this year. She said this when she appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain on Monday.
