Nigeria records 43 new coronavirus cases, eight recoveries and zero death on May Day

Nigeria, on Saturday, recorded 43 fresh cases of coronavirus.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) which announced this via Twitter on Sunday morning, also confirmed the country’s tally as 165,153.

According to the agency, the fresh cases was recorded in six states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Lagos led the way with 28 cases, followed by FCT (4), Rivers (4), Ekiti (2), Kaduna (2) and Bauchi (1).

The NCDC also revealed that eight, patients were discharged, taking the total recoveries to 155,109.

However, no new death was recorded, keeping the country’s fatality at 2,063.

Lagos remains the epicentre with 58,480. The FCT is next with 19,783 followed by Plateau (9,059), Kaduna (9,058) and Rivers (7,114).
