A Nigerian woman who was offered for sale on Facebook, Peace Busari, by a Lebanese, Wael Jerro, is on her way home from Lebanon.

Alongside Peace, 28 other stranded citizens in Lebanon due to the COVID-19 are on the repatriation flight.

This was made known on Saturday on the Twitter handle of the Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa.

She tweeted, “29 passengers just departed from Lebanon. And guess what? Temitope, who was left behind last time, accused of murder is on board. And so is Peace Busari, the girl who was put on sale on Facebook and rescued by the Nigerian Mission.”

The Chairman further tweeted, “Many thanks to Chair, House Diaspora Committee, @tolusadipe, and @DgNaptip, the Nigerian mission in Lebanon and the Lebanese Ambassador to Nigeria, for collaborative efforts to bring them back home.”

She earlier explained that Busari was with the Nigerian Mission in Beirut, Lebanon after she was rescued from her employer.

It can be recalled that Peace was advertised with her Nigerian passport on a Facebook page, ‘Buy and Sell in Lebanon’ by Jerro.
