Nigerian rapper, Lotanna Udezue, is dead

Veteran Nigerian rapper, Lotanna Udezue, popularly known as ‘Biglo’, is dead.

The rapper lost his life after battling with Kidney ailment.

Biglo died in a hospital in California, U.S on Saturday, December 26, 2020.

His colleague, Jazzman Olofin, confirmed his death on his Instagram page.

Recall that his family had asked for any kind of assistance regarding his illness a while ago. A GofundMe was opened.

Although speculations are going round concerning his death, people believed the rapper must have died due to COVID-19, especially since he tweeted about it days ago before his death.

The rapper tweeted on December 11, 2020, “After so many months of dodging it. It finally catches me…. Covid-19. Please pray for me.”

Jazzman replying to a post on Instagram wrote, “Dear BIGLO, heard the sad news last night you passed away. You fought bravely all the way but God Almighty Knows best. We’ll keep the fire burning. Rest in peace bro.

“FYI, BIGLO was a Nigerian music producer, rapper and singer.”

Other celebs like Laura Ikeji, Ruggedman have also reacted to the news. Ruggedman wrote, “I am weak but God knows everything. I am happy to have met you and been your friend.

“You and your one style shoulder dance. Rest on my brother. I celebrate you. I thank God for life.”

Biglo got into limelight in 2004 with the hit ‘Delicious’ which featured 2shotz and won the Hip Hop Award for Best Collabo with the track.

However, the rapper dropped out of the spotlight after.
