Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says Nigerians will be proud of the commission during the 2023 general elections.
In a one-day capacity building Workshop organized by INEC in collaboration with the Nigeria Union of Journalists on the theme “Conflict- Sensitive Reporting and 2023 General Election” the commission assured Nigerians that vote must count come 2023.
INEC assured that with full implementation of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BIVAS) which is almost impossible to hack, the Commission is set to conduct a free, fair and credible election.
The Commission’s Director for ICT, Engr Cosmas Esoha, made this claim while presenting a lecture on INEC’s New Technologies for 2023 General Election during a workshop for Journalists in the South South Region in Uyo on Tuesday.
He said the commission has put in place measures to ensure credible elections, devoid of any form of rigging or result manipulations.
