No fatality as Nigeria records 120 new COVID-19 cases

Nigeria on Monday recorded 120 fresh COVID-19 cases.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), which disclosed this on its Twitter handle, said the cases were recorded in 12 states of the federation and Abuja.

It added that no COVID-19 death was recorded throughout the country on Monday.

Consequently, the number of COVID-19 fatalities stood at 1,113 as at Monday night.

Also, the total number of confirmed cases increased to 59,465.

Meanwhile, 50,951 patients have been discharged from various isolation facilities across the country.

The breakdown of the figure on a state-by-state basis revealed the following: Rivers (65), FCT (12), Ogun (9), Katsina (8), Anambra (7), Bauchi (5) and, Oyo (5).

Others are – Nasarawa (3), Kaduna (2), Kwara (1), Taraba (1), Imo (1) and, Delta (1).

The NCDC said: “59,465 cases of #COVID-19 in Nigeria.

“Discharged: 50,951 AND Deaths: 1,113.”
