Trading activities at the nation’s equity market declined further dropping by N136 billion.
Specifically, market capitalisation of listed equities declined by 1.19 per cent to N11.200 trillion from N11.336 trillion reported on Monday.
The NSE All Share Index depreciated by 364.13 basis points to 30036.15 points from 30400.28 recorded the previous day.
Investors traded 216.248 million shares worth N2.669 billion in 4508 deals against 222.583 million shares valued at N3.342 billion in 3746 deals.
A review of the transactions indicated that Okomu Oil Palm Plc led gainers table during the day, gaining N6.15 kobo to close at N83.75 kobo, Nigerian Breweries followed with a gain of N0.40 kobo to close at N78.90 kobo, Lafarge Wapco added N0.35 kobo to close at N11.70 kobo, Union Bank of Nigeria increased by N0.20 kobo to close at N6.00, Julius Berger grew by N0.20 kobo to close at N23.50 kobo.
Converselly, Forte Oil Plc recorded the highest loss during the day, dropping by N2.30 kobo to close at N26.55 kobo, Presco Plc trailed with a loss of N2.00 to close at N62.00, Guaranty Trust Bank declined by N1.85 kobo to close at N32.00, Flour Mills Nigeria Plc down by N1.70 kobo to close at N18.00, Zenith Bank Plc fell by N1.00 to close at N20.30 kobo.
The result also showed that Zenith Bank Plc was the most active stock during the day, exchanging 32.840 million shares worth N679.772 million, FBNHoldings followed with account of 27.642 million shares valued at N199.303 million, Transnational Corporation of Nigeria traded 26.365 million shares worth N31.154 million, Guaranty Trust Bank exchanged 18.688 million shares cost N608.010 million, Diamond Bank sold 14.908 million shares worth N28.221 million
