Obasanjo donates former residence to treat victims of Coronavirus

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has handed over his 32-room former residence to the Ogun State Government for use as isolation Centre for victims of Coronavirus.

The humanitarian gesture was announced in a statement in Abeokuta today by his Special Assistant, Media, Mr Kehinde Akinyemi.

The residence located at the Presidential Hilltop in Abeokuta the state capital is set for immediate take over by the government for that purpose.

Akinyemi said that the former President was concerned about the pandemic, quoting Obasanjo as saying “and I think those who can in one way or another assist in this situation should do so.”

The facility located off the Presidential Boulevard, Oke Sari, Abeokuta has each of the 32 rooms ensuite, with a standby generator.
