Nigeria forward, Henry Onyekuru, continued his fairytale return to Galatasaray by scoring one of the goals in their 3-0 Turkish Super Lig win over Istanbul Basaksehir on Tuesday night.

The 23-year-old rejoined the Turkish side on loan from Monaco on Monday last week for a third spell at the club and marked his return with two goals on Friday in a 2-1 win over Gaziantep.

He added to his tally on Tuesday night, scoring his side’s first goal in the big win on the 45th minute.

A Ryan Donk strike in the 64th minute and a Mostafa Mohamed penalty in added time sealed the win.

Onyekuru was taken off in the 90th minute and replaced by Henri Dervisoglu.

The other Nigerian at Galatasaray, Oghenekaro Etebo, was also on from the start but was substituted off at half-time for Younes Belhanda.

Moments after the match, an excited Onyekuru tweeted, reflecting on a remarkable week: “What a week!  Happy to be back in the stadium and contribute with another goal! All praises to God!”

With the win, Galatasaray, in second place in the league, moved to within three points of leaders Fenerbahce.
