Oshoala, Mane win at the 2022 CAF Awards

Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala has been named the 2022 CAF Women’s Player of the Year.

The 27-year-old was announced as the winner at a gala night held in Rabat, Morocco, on Thursday.

It is the fifth time Oshoala is taking home the prize, surpassing her compatriot Perpetua Nkwocha.

Oshoala was adjudged the best African female footballer in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019.

Sadio Mane beat Mohamed Salah and Eduard Mendy in the men’s category to be crowned the 2022 CAF Men’s Player of the Year.
