As the buzz around who succeeds the throne of the Oworonshoki Kingdom gets louder, reliable sources reveal that London based Auto Engineer Idris Martins may likely emerge as the new king after the late Imperial Majestry,Oloworo of Oworo,Oba Bashiru Saliu Olutoyin joined his ancestors recently.
After consultations and permutations from kingmakers, sources say the lot may likely fall on Idris of the Jegede Ruling House which is expected to produce the next king based on the provisions of the Obaship.
Recall that trouble had trailed the highly coveted throne of the waterside kingdom in Kosofe Local Government, Lagos State as the three ruling houses jostled for the throne.
Sources say the kingdom had been thrown into palpable fear of clash between the four ruling houses in the kingdom after the sons of the late Oba were allegedly told not to relinquish the throne to any of the ruling houses but that they should install one of his sons Nurudeen Saliu.
According to Martins in an exclusive interview with KAFTANpost, Martins said he seeks to revamp the tourism potentials of the community and boosting of education.
The late Elebo of Oworonsoki in Lagos State, Oba Bashir Oloruntoyin Saliu, died on Tuesday, August 31 after a brief illness and was buried according to traditions thus making the throne vacant.
