It has been confirmed that all crew and passengers on the crashed Shadow 01 plane in Abuja died.

They have been identified as Flight Lieutenant Gazama, Flight Lieutenant Piyo, Flying Officer Okpara, Flight Sergeant Olawumi, Air Combat Maneuvers Johnson, and Sergeant Oluka.

The chattered private plane crashed just outside the airport, less than five minutes after takeoff.

It was gathered that the pilot already lost control of the plane and would have landed into a residential area but he made a successful effort to maneuver into a free bush where it crashed.

Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, who confirmed this sad event on his tweeter feed, wrote “A military aircraft Air 350 has just crashed short of our Abuja runway after reporting engine failure, enroute Minna. It appears to be fatal. We should remain calm and wait for the outcome of investigation by the military, while we pray for the departed soul/souls of any”

The Nigerian Airforce is at the helm of airborne onslaught against the Islamist terror group known as Boko Haram whose decade long scorched-earth atrocities in the North East corner of the most populous Black nation has attracted worldwide condemnation.

Nigerian Airforce has suffered a number of accidental and hostile crashes in the course of the grueling reconnaissance, assault and tactical air operations in aid of ground forces.

Nigeria recently witnessed a change of guard in the upper echelon of the Armed Forces with a new Joint Chief and Service Chiefs for Army, Navy and Airforce announced by beleaguered President Muhammadu Buhari whose no-nonsense reputation has taken hits after years of less than stellar performance in key promise areas.

  1. They have arranged their death again! When last did they fly that ill-fated plain? Why do we waste the lives of our young men & women in the Army over a situation that has defeated even the General on the seat of power? Sometimes I wish I were dead and blind, then I wont hear or see what is happening!
God please, bring an end to all these meaningless ness in Nigeria.
