Love & hip hop star, Erica Mena, has filed for divorce after tying the knot with her husband, Safaree, two years ago.
The reality stars who are known for their hot & cold relationship seem to be putting an end to it finally as Erica files for a divorce.
This is not the first of its kind as husband and rapper, Safaree, has been spilling their marriage problems on social media since their marriage.
Erica and Safaree got married in a secret wedding in October 2019, the couple had their daughter, Safire, shortly after and are both expecting their second child together.
Erica Mena filed for divorce on Friday, May 21, in Georgia’s Fayette County Superior Court, the same court they had their civil wedding.
The couple had just announced their second pregnancy this month on May 3, 2021.
Safaree wrote, “Safire got a new sibling. New baby who dis?? #2under2 time to get neutered, now I need a chef and a nanny”
“Get ready!!!! Any day now,” Mena wrote in a comment on the post.
The post has since been deleted.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Mena says her marriage to Samuel is “irretrievably broken” with “no hope of reconciliation.”
In addition, she is also asking for joint legal custody and final decision-making authority, requests for physical custody of Safire on a temporary and permanent basis “with the parties having parenting time as determined in the minor children’s best interests.”
Erica is also requesting for her legal fees, child support to be paid by Safaree, and for sole use of their home in Georgia.
Erica also has a 14-year-old son, King Javien Conde, from a previous relationship.
In 2020, Safaree posted a picture of himself tagging a divorce court, saying he is going into the new year as a single man.
Just weeks ago, Safaree, in a post had hinted at marriage troubles again when he stated that marriage was one of his biggest mistakes in life. Erica had slammed him almost immediately, calling him the most selfish, vain, and inconsiderate person.
Their one-and-half year marriage seem to have been crumbling from the start since many speculated the duo married for clout and fame.
Safaree is also rapper, Nicki Minaj’s ex-boyfriend.
