Afrobeat singer, Divine Ikubor, has broken Wizkid’s record on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The singer’s ‘Calm Down’ featuring Selena Gomez is now the longest running African song on the Billboard World Digital Song sales.
Calm Down has spent 18 weeks at No. 1 on the chart this week surpassing ‘Essence’ by Wizkid and Tems with the record of 17 weeks.
The remix which had top R&B singer, Selena Gomez, however dropped to No. 5 this week on the Hot 100. It was at No. 4 in the previous weeks.
The song had gained the attention of the international star and she had made a video announcing the collaboration before the song on August 25, 2022 replacing the original on all charts with its massive achievements.
