South Korean model and actor, Song Yoo-Jung, dies at 26

South Korean model and actor, Song Yoo-Jung, has died aged 26.

The information about her death was confirmed by her agency, “Sublime Artist Agency” and posted on Instagram.

The actress was born June 8, 1994 in South Korea.

Song began as a model, she modelled for Estee Lauder cosmetics, The Body Shop, and a spokesperson for Baskin Robbins ice-cream.

She was active from 2013- 2021.

Sublime Artist Agency on January 25, 2021 announced to the media that the actress had died due to an unknown cause.

Song debuted as an actor in MBC’s Golden Rainbow and was best known for her recurring role in MBC TV series “Make A Wish” where she appeared in 120 episodes between 2014 and 2015 as the character Han Da-won.

Recently, Song appeared in another series “School 2017,” broadcast by KBS2, and “Dear My Name.”

“Actress Song Yoo-jung has left us,” the notice said. “Yoo Jung was always a friend who gave happiness with a bright smile. She was a wonderful actor who played with passion bigger than anyone else.

“Thank you for joining us as an actor at the Sublime Artist Agency,” her agency concluded.

According to source, her death is still mysterious as no solid cause of death has been identified.

The entertainment industry in South Korea has lost their actors, artists and workers behind the screen to unquestionable deaths of recent, mostly to suicide.

Most complained of criticism from fans while others died due to mistreatment from their agencies.
