Revolution Now convener and Sahara Reporters founder, Omoyele Sowore, on Tuesday, appeared at the Abuja Magistrate Court with a herbalist.

The former presidential candidate in the 2019 general elections was arrested by the police for leading a protest against bad governance on New Year’s eve in Abuja.

He was subsequently arraigned alongside four others by the Federal Government for unlawful gathering.

This is not the first time Sowore will be arrested. He was detained for over 124 days in 2019 for calling for a #RevolutionNowProtest.

Sowore was charged on offences of treasonable felony, money laundering, terrorism and plots to overthrow President Muhammadu Buhari.
