There was panic in Akure, the Ondo State capital, as suspected thugs stormed the Ondo State House of Assembly.

KaftanPost gathered that at 7.30 am on Monday morning, the hoodlums blocked the main gate of the Assembly complex with their vehicles parked along the road leading to the complex.

According to eyewitnesses, they were at the assembly to prevent the nine suspended lawmakers reinstated by an Akure court last week from resuming.

It would be recalled that not less than nine lawmakers were suspended by the Assembly for allegedly refusing to sign the impeachment notice served on the deputy governor, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, by the assembly.

The timely intervention of police detectives, however, prevented the thugs from entering into the complex as they mounted barricades at the entrance of the complex.
