The Federal Government has been called upon by the House of Reps to suspension planned process of four international airports concession.

This was made by the House of Representatives Committee on Aviation through its Chairman, Nnolim Nnaji, on Monday at a meeting between the Ministry of Aviation and the Committee.

Recall that in June that the Federal Government began the concession process for four new International Airport Terminals in the country which included Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano.

This was as the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, confirmed that he had received an outline business case certificate of compliance from ICRC for the concession of the 4 airports.

According to the recent from the House Committee on Monday, they were of the view that the concession must have to be halted due to the ongoing crisis and opposition by labor unions in the Aviation sector arising from the proposed concession, while insisting it would have negative effects on the sector if the concession goes on as planned.
