Afrobeat singer, Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems, has added another feat to her achievements.
Tems was nominated in the “Best Original Score in a motion picture” category for the soundtrack of Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’.
The song ‘Lift Me Up’ was co-written by Tems and Rihanna. Rihanna sang the song for the 2022 movie.
She is nominated alongside Ludwig Göransson, Rihanna and Ryan Coogler.
The 80th Golden Globe Awards will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, on NBC and Peacock.
In reaction to this, Tems on Twitter wrote, “God, this is too much.”
Rihanna reacted to her first Golden Globe nomination, she wrote, “God be showing out!”
