Tokyo 2020: Amusan coasts into semi-final in women’s 100m Hurdles

Tobi Amusan of Team Nigeria has qualified for the semi-final in the women’s 100m hurdle after finishing first in heat 3 clocking a time of 12.72secs.

Though a slow start, but she got the job done clocking a time of 12.72s over Jamaica’s Yanique Thompson who finished second in a time of 12.74s. The result means, Amusan goes through to the semifinals.

She will now be competing in her second consecutive Olympic semifinal.

Meanwhile, her Nigerian counterpart, Blessing Okagbare has been disqualified from this year’s Olympics for failing a doping test.
