Outgoing US President, Donald Trump, is suspected to have rejoined Twitter under an alias, it is claimed, as some social media platforms have equally suspended his accounts, some indefinitely.

Twitter had announced the ban of Donald Trump’s account after he was accused of violating some policies of the social media platforms by inciting violence as he refused to concede defeat to Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.

It is therefore, suspected that Trump might have rejoined the platform as he would be reduced without communicating to his followers. Trump currently has more than 32 million followers on Facebook, and 88 million on twitter.

Following the violent protests in Washington DC, which included a mob takeover of the US Capitol building, various social platforms moved to ban US President Donald Trump from posting – in the short-term, initially, though some have since indicated that the bans could be permanent.

Facebook had removed several of Trump’s posts during the riots, before CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the ban Trump’s account ‘indefinitely and for at least the next two weeks’ to ensure a peaceful transition to the Biden administration.

Twitter has also done, with Snapchat, Facebook, Youtube and Instagram following suit.

Trump’s ban became necessary as the major tech companies have begun cracking down on apps and services pro-Trump supporters have been using out of fear they’ll incite more violence.

Meanwhile, President Trump hints on exploring building his own social media platform in response to Twitter permanently suspending his personal account @realDonaldTrump.

“I long predicted this would happen,” Trump wrote in regards to the ban.

“We have been negotiating with various other sites, and will have a big announcement soon, while we also look at the possibilities of building out our own platform in the near future. We will not be SILENCED!”

He went on to blast Twitter for allegedly suppressing free speech and “promoting a Radical Left” agenda. “STAY TUNED!” Trump said at the end of his message.
