Twitter has temporarily blocked Donald Trump’s account for violations and incitement of violence.

The Outgoing US President violated Twitter’s policies with a trio of tweets he posted about the attack on the U.S. Capitol perpetrated by a violent mob of his supporters.

“As a result of the unprecedented and ongoing violent situation in Washington, D.C., we have required the removal of three @realDonaldTrump Tweets that were posted earlier today for repeated and severe violations of our Civic Integrity policy,” Twitter said in a series of posts.

“This means that the account of @realDonaldTrump will be locked for 12 hours following the removal of these Tweets.”

The company threatened to suspend Trump’s account permanently if he does not remove the tweets, and further violates its Civic Integrity or Violent Threats policies

This implies that Trump will not have access to his 88.7m followers for the next 12 hours, since the notice was issued by the social media company.

Trump supporters had invaded the Congress sitting and sent lawmakers parking to stop the affirmation of Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 polls.
