Two lovers found dead inside car in Lagos

Tragedy struck on Saturday at Maryland Area of Lagos State when a man and a woman suspected to be lovers were found dead in a car.

 The man identified as Emmanuel Chetan and the woman called Annie Bose Akhadelor, while the man was said to be working as a creative director at Image world visual; they were found in their car unconscious.

It was learnt that when the residents of the area saw the unconscious lovers in their vehicle they raised the alarm that attracted other neighbours and the matter was immediately reported to the police.

The incident was said to have occurred around 8p.m. on Saturday at Maryland bus stop causing gridlock on the road.

The Lagos State Command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) CSP Chike Oti said, items like identity Card of the man, his phone, alcoholic beverages and some local concoctions suspected to be herbal mixtures were found in the car.

Oti said the police were called to the scene around 8: 30a.m. on Sunday and their bodies had already become stiff before policemen arrive the scene, meanwhile the relations of the dead woman had been contacted.

 The spokesman, however, said the State Commissioner of Police, CP Zubairu Muazu had directed the forensic Unit of the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigative Department, Panti, Yaba, to carry out details investigation into the matter and submit the report within a week.

He added: “their remains had been evacuated from the scene and deposited in the mortuary; for autopsy to be carried out on them so as to ascertain the cause of their death. “
