The Flying Eagles returned to winning ways produced at the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations with a 4-0 win over Tunisia in the third-place match in Cairo, Egypt.

Jude Sunday scored a brace while Ibrahim Muhammad and Ahmed Abdullahi netted the other goals to earn Nigeria’s third bronze medal in the continental competition.

Abdullahi doubled Nigeria’s lead early in the second half before Sunday made it 3-0 moments later, running through the Tunisian defence before a confident finish.

Sunday wrapped up the scoring late on to put a gloss on the scoreline as the Flying Eagles left their best for last.

Senegal, who beat Nigeria in their opening group fixture, and The Gambia, the only other team to defeat the Flying Eagles, will meet in the final at the Cairo International Stadium tomorrow.

All of Nigeria, Tunisia, The Gambia and Senegal have qualified for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia in May and June, their reward for reaching the semi-finals in Egypt.
