Ukraine warns against new Russian offensive

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov vows that Russian forces will respond to the delivery of longer-range Western weapons by pushing Ukrainian forces further away from its borders.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for renewed EU sanctions against Russia during a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov says a major new Russian offensive could begin around the symbolically important date of February 24, which marks the anniversary of the initial invasion last year.

Three people have been killed and 20 injured after eight apartment buildings were hit by Russian missiles in Kramatorsk on Wednesday, according to police.
